The Opportunity
Join our Brisbane-based Group Tax team as a Senior Taxation Accountant, supporting corporate tax compliance across Cleanaway. You’ll deliver accurate and compliant tax returns and statutory reporting, with opportunities to contribute to broader advisory work.
- Prepare corporate income tax returns, including tax adjustments and supporting workpapers.
- Prepare and support timely GST and FBT compliance obligations.
- Contribute to half-year and year-end statutory tax reporting, including tax-effect accounting.
- Research tax legislation and provide practical advice to Finance and business stakeholders.
- Support responses to ATO enquiries, reviews and audits.
- Work collaboratively with tax colleagues to maintain compliance, share knowledge and provide team coverage.
About You
You have hands-on corporate income tax experience and can explain technical matters clearly, with relevant experience from professional services or in-house corporate tax teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Law.
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Direct experience preparing company income tax returns and related tax adjustments for large, ASX listed businesses.
- Working knowledge of Australian corporate tax compliance and relevant legislation.
- Clear written and verbal communication with business stakeholders.
- Experience with deferred tax, tax-effect accounting or statutory tax reporting would be advantageous but is not essential
