CJD has an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR Advisor who enjoys building strong relationships and providing practical, high-quality HR support to employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle. This role will involve you in the final development phase of our HRIS (ELMO) onboarding and recruitment system. As a Champion user of the software, you will support the implementation and training across CJD.
Position Responsibilities
- Advise on employment conditions, policies and relevant legislation.
- Provide interpretation and coaching to line managers regarding CJD’s policies and procedures.
- Manage employee relations, performance and workplace matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Contribute to our HRIS implementation and become a Champion of the effective use of ELMO software.
- Proactively engage and assist with performance management.
- Ensure all activities undertaken comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Play an active role in bringing CJD’s values and culture to life.
The successful candidate must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent experience in HR.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work Act and Modern awards.
- Hands-on experience across employee relations, performance management and recruitment.
- The confidence and credibility to advise senior leaders and challenge constructively when required.
- Excellent judgement, discretion and the ability to navigate sensitive people matters.
- Experience with ELMO software would be an advantage.
