HR Manager

The opportunity - HR Manager 12-18month FTC

Our client is a national professional services firm that has grown quickly through acquisitions, has a refreshed business services leadership team, and is heading into a firm-wide rebrand. You will keep the day to day running and move the bigger work forward. This is a role for someone who likes building and improving things, not someone looking for a caretaker contract.

What you'll do

  • Be the go-to adviser for partners, business unit leaders and operational managers
  • Lead complex ER matters and guide leaders through big people decisions and change
  • Run the annual people cycle: performance, remuneration, promotions, talent and workforce planning
  • Lead projects from idea to delivery, including governance and process uplift and the people side of the rebrand
  • Find ways to simplify how P&C works and make the changes happen
  • Coach and develop the team around you

What you'll bring

  • Significant experience as a People & Culture Manager, HR Manager, Senior HRBP or broad senior generalist
  • Strong ER capability and the confidence to advise and challenge senior stakeholders
  • A track record of leading projects, change, restructures or process improvements
  • The ability to spot an issue, shape a fix and drive it through with limited direction
  • Sound commercial judgement and a practical, hands‑on style
  • Comfort working where not every process or system is fully formed yet
  • Experience in legal, professional services, financial services or consulting is highly regarded, but not essential.

What's on offer

  • 12 to 18 month fixed term contract
  • Sydney CBD office, hybrid working 3:2
  • Real scope and visibility at partnership level during a period of growth
