About the Role
You will provide quality and timely advice to Council, the community and stakeholders on growth area planning in Casey. You will contribute to the implementation of Councils strategic planning framework and Casey’s appeal as a desirable place to live, invest and do business.
What You’ll Deliver
- Prepare reports and correspondence, including draft Committee and Council reports, delegated reports, appeal submissions, and panel documentation.
- Assess and process planning applications, conducting investigations, inspections, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Council policies.
- Engage with stakeholders, responding to enquiries, representing Council at VCAT, panels, meetings, seminars, and community or professional forums.
- Support planning functions, contributing to policy development, staying up to date with legislation, and assisting departmental staff to meet organisational objectives.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary studies in Urban Planning, Town Planning or a related discipline.
- A curious mind, embracing challenges and opportunities to improve technical skills and planning proficiency.

- A facilitative approach, working to resolve problems and providing a high level of customer service.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
