About the role
TheCity of Ballarat is looking for an experienced Kerbside Waste CollectionDriver. Operators collect General Waste,Mixed Recycling, FOGO and Glass from more than 54,000 residential homes eachweek, using a modern fleet of dual control sideloader waste compactors.
This position is a 6-month fixed term contract backfilling long service leave cover. Hours of work are 5:30am to 1:54pm Monday to Friday.
About you
HeavyRigid Drivers Licence, with a good driving history, is essential. Automated Sideloader Experience is highlyregarded.
You will also have;
- Demonstratedability to champion, model and promote the corporate values.
- Proven ability to provide highquality work within time constraints.
- Proven high level of skill andappropriate background in the application and use of waste collection vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to work as apositive member of a team.
- Demonstrated customer service skillsand experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of localgovernment or transport works practices.
- Sound understanding of the Occupational Health and SafetyAct.
