We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Lawyer to join our established and growing legal practice, Chomley Family Law, based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This is a full-time position for a lawyer with experience in family law.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and domestic violence matters.
- Prepare and file all necessary court documents and pleadings.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings.
- Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely and effective client communication.
- Mentor and guide junior lawyers and paralegals within the family law team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm's family law strategy.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of post-admission experience in family law.
- Demonstrated expertise in all areas of family law, including complex property settlements and child custody matters.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
- Strong client relationship management skills and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Admission to practice law in Queensland and a current practising certificate.
