CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organization on earth via our 347 million pallets, crates and containers. We employ approximately 13,000 people and operate in 60 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world’s biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is fundamental to how we operate. As our business continues to evolve, we are investing in stronger governance, greater visibility and more effective ways of managing risk and performance across our Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMETA) region. As HSE Governance Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in helping shape how our regional HSE function operates. Working closely with the AMETA HSE leadership team, you'll help strengthen governance frameworks, improve accountability, enhance reporting and support better decision-making across the region.

This role goes beyond coordinating activities and maintaining governance processes. We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities for improvement, challenge constructively, influence outcomes and help drive a more disciplined, effective and mature governance environment. This is an opportunity to join a regional team, gain exposure to senior stakeholders across multiple countries and build a career at the intersection of governance, risk, compliance and HSE. Importantly, we're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You may currently be working in governance, risk, compliance, quality, project coordination, business improvement, executive support or a similar environment and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your impact within HSE.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support and continuously improve governance processes across the AMETA HSE function to strengthen accountability, visibility and decision making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure governance commitments, actions and priorities are effectively monitored, progressed and delivered.
  • Coordinate and contribute to regional reporting, leadership packs, governance forums and performance reviews.
  • Analyse governance activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, transparency and effectiveness.
  • Engage stakeholders across multiple countries and functions to gather information, resolve gaps and ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Maintain governance systems, documentation and reporting frameworks to support accurate, timely and reliable information.
  • Support leadership decision making through high-quality reporting, insights and governance coordination.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen governance maturity and ways of working across the region.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Experience in governance, risk, compliance, quality, business improvement, project coordination, executive support or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and drive accountability without formal authority.
  • Strong judgement, professional maturity and confidence engaging and challenging senior stakeholders appropriately.
  • Proven experience coordinating governance activities, reporting cycles, action management or business planning processes.
  • Ability to identify gaps, solve problems and improve processes rather than simply maintain them.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on broader business outcomes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources and present it clearly.
  • A proactive approach, curiosity to learn and a continuous improvement mindset.

Highly Regarded

  • Exposure to HSE, risk, audit, assurance or compliance environments.
  • Experience supporting regional, multinational or matrix organisations.
  • Power BI or data visualisation capability.
  • Experience developing, reviewing or improving governance frameworks, processes or reporting structures.

This is an opportunity to help shape how a complex regional HSE function operates, bringing stronger governance, clearer accountability and better information to support leadership decisions. Working closely with the AMETA HSE leadership team, you'll gain exposure to senior regional stakeholders and make a visible contribution to how governance, performance and continuous improvement are embedded across the business. You'll have the opportunity to build deep expertise in governance, risk, reporting and stakeholder engagement while developing a strong understanding of HSE within a complex global organisation. For the right individual, this role can provide a pathway into broader governance, risk, compliance, HSE or business leadership opportunities within CHEP and Brambles. If you enjoy creating clarity, improving processes, influencing outcomes and helping organisations operate more effectively, we'd love to hear from you.
