An excellent opportunity has become available for a VR General Practitioner to join a well-established medical practice in Southport on the Gold Coast. With a long-standing GP relocating closer to home, the incoming doctor will have the opportunity to take over an established, loyal patient base, providing immediate patient demand and excellent earning potential from day one. The practice is ideally seeking a full-time or substantially part-time GP with a broad generalist scope of practice.
What's on offer
- 70% of billings with a competitive service fee arrangement
- $200 per hour guarantee for the first 6 months (or 70% of billings, whichever is greater)
- $30,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment (pro-rata for part-time)
- Established patient base – take over the patients of a highly regarded, long-standing GP
- Immediate patient demand – excellent opportunity to build a busy practice quickly
- Flexible working arrangements – full-time or substantial part-time hours available
- Monday to Friday preferred, with optional Saturday and Sunday sessions

About the Opportunity
The practice is seeking an experienced VR GP who enjoys providing comprehensive, patient-centred general practice care.
GPs with additional special interests are particularly encouraged to apply, including:
- Skin cancer medicine and minor surgical procedures
- Musculoskeletal medicine
- Occupational medicine and WorkCover
- Medical acupuncture
- Medicinal cannabis
- Chronic disease management and preventative health
The incoming GP will benefit from an established patient cohort and the opportunity to develop their own areas of clinical interest
Requirements
- Vocational Registration (FRACGP or FACRRM).
- Current AHPRA specialist registration.
- Broad general practice experience and a commitment to continuity of care.
- Ideally available for full-time or substantial part-time hours.
- GPs requiring DPA may be considered for regular weekend sessions, subject to eligibility.
