The Operations Support Officer coordinates and supports the delivery of cleaning and facility services across multiple contracts and service locations. A significant component of the role involves managing leave relief requirements, allocating casual employees, coordinating staffing resources and ensuring service continuity across multiple contracts. This includes coordinating workforce resources, managing accommodation turnover periods, balancing client expectations, and ensuring accommodation services are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed quality standards.
Working alongside Operations Supervisors and frontline employees, the Operations Support Officer assists in balancing client expectations, operational priorities, workforce capability and quality outcomes across both residential accommodation and broader campus service areas. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, particularly during early morning operations where staffing shortages, leave coverage and changing priorities often require timely decisions and practical solutions. While primarily a leadership and coordination position, the incumbent may provide practical operational support when required to meet business needs, respond to operational challenges or support service delivery outcomes.
