Chandler Macleod presents an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to join the Beresfield Baiada team based in their Steggles production plant.
As the Quality Assurance Officer, you will be a vital part of the team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing Baiada's commitment to quality in poultry processing.
This position offers consistent and full-time hours.
About the Role
- Verify cleaning and pest control activities to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit preparation and participation.
- Verify monitoring activities during production and review completed daily paperwork.
- Prepare product samples for laboratory testing and analyse lab results.
- Perform data entry, filing, and reporting related to quality and hygiene.
- Conduct end of shelf life product evaluations.
- Carry out post clean and environmental swabbing, including Biotrace testing in RTE and fully cooked areas.
- Perform 2-hourly cook-ups and sensory evaluations.
- Collect product samples for quality checks.
- Calibrate equipment including scales, Oxybaby, and thermometers.
- Evaluate both fresh and frozen products for quality and compliance.
Requirements
- Food Technology degree/qualification (preferred, but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working around raw poultry
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
