The Opportunity You will work alongside Project Managers, providing essential support across project coordination, procurement, contract administration and commercial management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Project Managers with CDC / DA approval pathways, consultant coordination and relevant submissions.
  • Supporting project pricing, obtaining trade quotations and reviewing costs.
  • Preparing tender analysis documentation, scopes of work (SOW) and subcontract agreements.
  • Assisting with trade procurement, subcontractor negotiations and appointments.
  • Managing variations, progress claims and general contract administration.
  • Attending project meetings, preparing minutes and following up on outstanding actions.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure projects progress efficiently.
  • Assisting with project programmes, procurement schedules and key milestones.
  • Supporting Project Managers with general project delivery and resolving day-to-day project issues.
  • Taking ownership of smaller projects where appropriate, depending on your experience and capability.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a background in commercial construction, ideally within commercial fitouts and refurbishments, and who is confident working across both project coordination and contract administration.

You will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Contract Administrator or similar role within commercial construction.
  • Experience working on commercial fitout and refurbishment projects.
  • A sound understanding of contract administration, procurement and commercial management.
  • Some knowledge of CDC / DA approval pathways and certification processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the initiative to identify issues, follow things through and work autonomously.
  • The ability to support multiple Project Managers while keeping project deliverables on track.

Experience with MS Project would be advantageous but is not essential.

What’s on Offer?

  • Initial 5-month contract with a genuine view to extend.
  • Exposure to a variety of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects valued up to $6 million.
  • A diverse role combining project coordination and commercial contract administration.
  • The opportunity to work closely with experienced Project Managers.
  • Potential to take ownership of smaller projects and further develop your project delivery experience.
