We're working with a well-established and highly regarded Tier 2 commercial builder seeking an experienced Services Manager to join their growing Perth team.
With an impressive track record delivering major commercial construction projects, this business has built a strong reputation across multistorey residential, mixed-use, commercial, healthcare and education developments.
Backed by an established pipeline of work and an experienced leadership team, this is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Services Manager looking to take ownership of complex building services packages within a collaborative and well-supported construction environment.
The Role
As Services Manager, you'll play a key role in coordinating and managing building services throughout the construction lifecycle, working closely with project delivery teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring services are effectively coordinated, installed, commissioned and handed over in line with project requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire and other building services packages.
- Oversee services design coordination, procurement, installation and commissioning.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, consultants and subcontractors.
- Review services documentation, drawings and specifications to identify clashes and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate services programmes and ensure integration with the overall construction schedule.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, quality, compliance and project milestones.
- Manage services-related risks, variations and technical challenges.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, defect resolution and final handover requirements.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Services Manager with strong technical knowledge and a proven ability to coordinate complex building services within a commercial construction environment.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a Services Manager, Building Services Manager or experienced Senior Services Coordinator.
- Previous experience working with a reputable commercial head contractor.
- Experience delivering services packages across medium to large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services.
- Experience across multistorey residential, mixed-use, commercial or other technically complex developments.
- Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of services procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
- Relevant trade, engineering or construction qualifications.
