- Location: Manjimup, WA (Heart of the Southern Forests)
- Salary: Up to $165,000 + Superannuation (commensurate with experience)
- Package: Relocation assistance negotiable for the right regional mover
About Us
We are a proud, established leader in the Australian food manufacturing space, deeply rooted in the fertile Southern Forests region of Manjimup. From paddock to plate, our FMCG operations supply premium products to major retailers and food service partners nationwide. We run a fast-paced, high-volume production facility where quality, sustainability, and community are at the core of everything we do.
As we enter our next phase of commercial growth and automation, we are looking for a sharp, hands-on financial leader to step into a dual commercial and strategic role. Whether you are an experienced CFO looking for a meaningful regional lifestyle shift, or a Senior Financial Accountant ready to step up and completely own the finance function, we want to hear from you.
The Role
This isn't a job where you just sit behind a spreadsheet in a distant corporate office. You will be based right here at the heart of our operations, working directly alongside the Managing Director, the production team, and our supply chain partners. You will bridge the gap between raw numbers and operational reality.
Your days will be diverse, blending high-level commercial strategy with robust, day-to-day financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership & Governance: Oversee all end-to-end accounting functions, including full P&L management, balance sheet reconciliations, tax compliance (BAS/FBT), and statutory reporting.
- Operational Costing & Inventory: Dive deep into standard costing models, yield analysis, manufacturing variances, and inventory control to optimize our production margins.
- Strategic Growth & Capital Expenditure: Partner with the executive team to model expansions, evaluate investments in new plant machinery, and manage cash flow forecasting to support scaling.
- Commercial Insights: Translate complex manufacturing data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders (Production Managers, Sales, Logistics).
- Supply Chain & Procurement Support: Analyze raw material trends, packaging costs, and freight economics to protect the bottom line against market volatility.
About You
You are a qualified accountant (CA/CPA) who loves the tangible nature of manufacturing. You get a buzz out of seeing raw ingredients turn into finished products on a supermarket shelf, and you understand the unique financial rhythms of agribusiness and FMCG.
- Experienced: You have a strong background in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or heavy industry where inventory and costing are complex.
- Grounded & Direct: You have excellent communication skills and can comfortably chat with a forklift driver on the factory floor, a local grower, or a bank manager.
- Systems Savvy: You have strong ERP experience and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to improve existing processes rather than just maintain them.
- Community-Minded: You are either already a proud South West local or genuinely excited about relocating to a thriving regional hub known for its world-class produce, stunning forests, and welcoming community.
What We Offer
- A Rewarding Package: Up to $165,000 + Super, tailored to the depth of your experience.
- True Impact: A seat at the leadership table where your decisions directly shape the future of a major regional employer.
- The Ultimate Lifestyle: Say goodbye to city traffic and high living costs. Enjoy world-class wineries, mountain biking trails, and pristine coastlines right on your doorstep.
- Relocation Support: Genuinely interested in moving to the region? We are happy to discuss financial and logistical support to help you get settled into Manjimup.
