An established national design and construct practice is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join its Adelaide team.
Working on workplace and commercial interiors, you’ll take the lead on understanding client needs, developing the design and seeing it through on site.
It’s a hands‑on role in a small team, with the support and experience of a wider national business.
The role
Client relationships are a big part of this position.
You’ll be comfortable leading a briefing, presenting your ideas and guiding clients through decisions, while keeping an eye on budget, programme and the practical details.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading client meetings, briefings and design presentations.
- Developing concepts, space plans and detailed design proposals.
- Selecting finishes, materials, furniture and fittings.
- Preparing and reviewing documentation for construction.
- Working closely with estimators, project managers and site teams.
- Managing feedback, design changes and project deadlines.
- Staying involved during construction to resolve queries and carry the design through.
About you
You’re an experienced interior designer with a strong portfolio of workplace or commercial projects.
You enjoy the client side of the job and can explain your ideas clearly, take feedback on board and keep a project moving.
You’ll bring
- A qualification in interior design or interior architecture.
- Experience leading projects from initial brief through to completion.
- Strong presentation, documentation and technical skills.
- A practical understanding of fitout construction, materials and detailing.
- Confidence balancing design quality with budgets and deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and contribute to a small team.
