As a Yard Hand/Warehouse operator, you’ll be at the heart of our yard operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
You’ll work with a variety of freight types and forklift sizes, playing a key role in keeping our operation moving.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in safe load restraint, accuracy, and teamwork.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T & 16T)
- Handling general, ugly, palletised and oversize freight
- Securing loads in line with the Load Restraint Guide using ratchet straps, chains and binders
- Scanning and tracking freight through all stages (received, staged, loaded & unloaded)
- Preparing outbound freight for safe and secure dispatch
- Working with RF scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance
What You’ll Bring
- Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience
- Proven experience working with general and oversize freight
- Strong load restraint skills (ratchet straps, chains & binders)
- Previous yard hand or similar experience
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- RF scanner experience (highly regarded)
