Join a Growing School with a Bold Vision

Central Coast Steiner School is seeking an experienced and community-minded ICT and Digital Transformation Coordinator to help lead the next stage of the School's digital evolution.

This newly established position combines technology operations, digital transformation, staff capability development, governance, project coordination and continuous improvement. Working closely with School Leadership and our Managed Service Provider (MSP), you will play a key role in helping the School deliver a secure, reliable and future-ready technology environment that supports teaching, learning and administration.

This is not a traditional ICT support role.

While user support forms an important part of the position, the primary purpose of the role is to strengthen the School's digital capability, improve systems and processes, support technology adoption, coordinate technology initiatives and help staff confidently embrace modern digital ways of working.

The successful applicant will become an important contributor to the School's ongoing growth and development as Central Coast Steiner School continues to expand its facilities, programmes and services, including its unique International Baccalaureate pathway.

Nestled within a beautiful natural bushland setting at Fountaindale on the NSW Central Coast, Central Coast Steiner School provides a distinctive educational journey from Early Childhood through to Year 12.

Grounded in the principles of Steiner Education and enriched by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, the School seeks to educate young people who are thoughtful, capable, creative and prepared to contribute positively to the world.

As one of the fastest-growing independent schools on the Central Coast and the region's only International Baccalaureate school, we are investing in our facilities, people and systems to support an exciting future.

About the Role

The School has recently commenced a significant technology modernisation programme, including improvements to infrastructure, cyber security, cloud services, governance and digital workflows. The successful candidate will help consolidate these foundations while leading the next phase of technology adoption, operational maturity and organisational capability development.

Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with School Leadership and external technology partners, the ICT and Digital Transformation Coordinator will act as the School's internal technology champion and coordinator.

The role serves as the bridge between staff, leadership, vendors and technical specialists, helping ensure that technology investments translate into meaningful outcomes for the School community.

Success in the role will be measured not only by reliable technology operations, but also by improvements in staff capability, cyber security awareness, workflow efficiency, documentation quality and successful technology adoption across the School.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Transformation and Change Management:

Support implementation of the School's digital strategy and technology roadmap

Identify opportunities to modernise and simplify administrative and educational processes

Drive adoption of Compass, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate and other approved platforms

Assist staff in transitioning from manual and paper-based processes to efficient digital workflows

Coordinate organisational change initiatives that improve digital capability across the School

Help foster a positive and supportive culture around technology adoption and innovation

Support onboarding of new staff members into School systems and digital practices

ICT Operations and User Support:

Provide responsive first-line support for day-to-day technology issues for students and staff in a warm and approachable manner

Coordinate escalation of complex technical issues to the MSP and other vendors as required

Monitor recurring issues and identify opportunities for permanent improvement rather than repeated fixes

Assist with user account administration, device management and technology provisioning

Maintain a high level of staff satisfaction through proactive communication and support

Governance, Cyber Security and Compliance:

Promote strong cyber security awareness and safe digital practices across the School

Support implementation of cyber security initiatives in partnership with external specialists and the MSP

Assist with identity and access management processes, including onboarding and offboarding

Maintain technology documentation, records, standards and operational procedures

Support data governance, privacy, retention and information security requirements

Contribute to technology risk management and governance activities

Technology Projects and Vendor Coordination:

Coordinate technology projects, infrastructure upgrades, facility expansion initiatives and system improvements

Support cloud migration, digital modernisation and workflow automation initiatives

Work with the MSP to maintain reliable operation of the School's technology environment

Monitor the health and performance of key systems and services

Coordinate support for auxiliary systems including AV, communications and related technologies

Assist with technology lifecycle planning, asset management and equipment replacement programmes

Support technology readiness for teaching, events, assessments and school operations

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate:

Demonstrated experience leading technology adoption, organisational change, process improvement or digital transformation initiatives

Qualifications and/or significant experience in Information Technology, Business Systems, Digital Operations or a related discipline
