La Baguette Café is a busy and well-established café in the heart of Berwick Village, renowned for exceptional coffee, quality food, and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Prepare consistently high-quality espresso coffee and specialty beverages.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming café experience.
- Support, mentor, and motivate front-of-house team members.
- Assist with staff training and maintaining high service standards.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Monitor workflow and ensure food and beverages are delivered efficiently.
- Assist with stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work closely with the Café Owner to continuously improve operations, customer service, and team performance.
- Help develop future team leaders and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Strong barista skills with the ability to consistently produce high-quality coffee.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a front-of-house team is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and time management abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively during busy service periods.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a hands-on leadership style.
Must be available to work approximately 38–40 hours per week.
Weekend availability is essential. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
