Lead electrical project delivery in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
Develop national teams through practical training, coaching and support.
Take ownership of site operations with experienced project and operations leaders behind you.
About CE Group: At CE Group, we turn complex electrical challenges into projects we’re proud of, from essential infrastructure to major energy, resources and industrial developments across Australia and the Asia-Pacific. Our teams bring together technical expertise, practical thinking and the drive to deliver from concept to commissioning.
About the Opportunity: We’re seeking experienced Electrical Project Supervisors for multiple expatriate opportunities across Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. You’ll lead day-to-day electrical works, bringing together people, planning, safety and quality to keep delivery moving. Working closely with project and operations leaders, you’ll supervise expatriate and national personnel and build constructive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
This role extends beyond traditional site supervision. As a CE Group representative in country, you’ll also support practical administration and logistics coordination, respond to changing site needs and help resolve the challenges that come with remote project delivery. Training and developing national personnel will be a priority. We’re looking for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge, building capability and helping their team succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan site activities, allocate labour and coordinate crews and subcontractors to meet project milestones, identifying risks and constraints early.
- Implement CE Group and client safety and quality requirements, maintain safe systems of work and address incidents and non-conformances.
- Lead, coach and develop national supervisors, leading hands and site personnel, setting clear expectations and supporting a positive team environment.
- Forecast material and equipment requirements and support the Project Manager and procurement team with site readiness, deliveries and logistics coordination.
- Maintain clear client communication, monitor costs, identify scope changes and contribute to variations, progress claims, commercial reporting and project closeout.
What You’ll Bring:
- An electrical trade qualification, supported by relevant geographical experience.
- Demonstrated experience supervising electrical projects, including workforce planning, subcontractor coordination, safety and quality.
- The ability to interpret scopes, manage work against milestones and apply practical knowledge of cost control, material forecasting, variations and progress claims.
- Strong leadership, administration and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Current CPR/LVR and First Aid certificates, together with a current unrestricted Australian driver licence.
- Experience in PNG, the Pacific or a comparable remote project environment will be highly regarded.
You’ll bring patience, cultural awareness and the ability to adapt when freight delays, material shortages or changing site conditions affect the programme. Our values of Safety, Adaptability, Quality, Persistence and Mental Fitness guide how we work and lead our teams.
What’s On Offer:
- Full-time project opportunities across the Pacific.
- Ownership of day-to-day site delivery and the opportunity to contribute your ideas.
- Broad experience across electrical supervision, client coordination and in-country operations.
- The opportunity to build the skills and capability of national teams.
- Support from experienced project and operations leaders.
Project duration, roster, mobilisation dates and expatriate package details are to be confirmed. CE Group is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds. All applications will be treated confidentially. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
