About Us
CBH is a leader in the Australian grain industry and the country’s largest co-operative. Our work has meaning and is creating an exciting future - we’re delivering WA’s grain to the world. Our advanced logistics network stretches across the State, connecting the growers of WA with our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth in different roles and locations.
The Role
Bring your specialised condition monitoring and maintenance expertise to a hands-on role supporting the reliability of CBH’s port operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll apply your technical expertise across fixed plant equipment to lead predictive maintenance activities, identify emerging faults and enable timely, planned intervention. Through diagnostic analysis, technical advice and practical recommendations, you’ll help minimise unplanned downtime and drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance. This is an opportunity to combine your technical capability with hands‑on problem‑solving while contributing to safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Location: Kwinana Grain Terminal
Responsibilities include:
- Lead predictive maintenance analysis, using condition monitoring data to identify emerging faults on fixed plant equipment and recommend planned interventions before breakdowns occur.
- Ensure all condition monitoring activities align with CBH’s safety and environmental standards, including isolation, tag‑out and JSA requirements.
- Develop and optimise condition‑based maintenance strategies in S/4HANA.
- Monitor asset health through online SCADA condition monitoring systems, analysing trends in vibration, temperature and other key parameters to detect deterioration early and set appropriate alarm limits.
- Support shutdown, major maintenance upgrades and improvement initiatives to enhance operational and cost efficiencies.
- Demonstrate field leadership, with a focus on coaching, mentoring and supporting personnel on site to ensure compliance with CBH safety requirements and objectives.
About You
- Engineering qualification specialising in Condition monitoring (Ultrasonics & Thermography).
- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas qualification and training (desirable).
- Valid Australian HR and C Class driver’s licence.
- Strong planning and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within an operational environment.
- Experience in grain handling and SAP will be highly regarded.
