Salary Range: Graduate $86,600 to Lead Teacher $147,048 FTE gross per annum plus 12.75% Superannuation

Newman Catholic College is Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns' newest secondary school. The College comprises state-of-the-art facilities situated within James Cook University, Cairns. About the Role
Due to the continuous growth of the college, Newman Catholic College Smithfield is seeking a number of experienced and dedicated Secondary Teachers to join their school teaching in a range of Key Subjects for the 2027 school year. These roles are Full-Time, Permanent positions.
Key Subject Areas
- Mathematics (with an ability to teach Senior Mathematics an advantage)
- English / Drama (an ability to teach Senior English)
- Science
- HPE
Responsibilities & Expectations

- Willingness to change and develop instructional strategies to increase student growth and achievement
Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the College Principal.
