The Head of Solutions - APAC will lead Caseware's product management and development strategy across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region, ensuring our software addresses the evolving needs of auditors and accountants across our Audit & Accounting, Corporate, and Government customer segments.
In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to own the regional product roadmap, champion the voice of the customer into the backlog, and drive the build of market-leading solutions that support customer retention and growth across APAC.
What you will do:
- Management Responsibilities
- Regional Strategy & Authority: Serve as the definitive product and solutions authority for the APAC region, shaping product strategy and roadmap priorities, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment between local market needs and Caseware's global product vision.
- Oversee Regional Product Team: Manage product managers and product owners in the APAC region, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning. Provide on-the-job coaching and mentorship, conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and identify development opportunities to foster career growth.
- Roadmap Ownership & Prioritisation: Own the regional product roadmap, business cases, and resourcing trade-offs, scoping and prioritising development activity based on business and customer impact.
- Product Governance & Escalation: Act as the key internal subject matter expert on product matters across APAC, serving as the escalation point for Development and Customer Success on complex product requirements.
- Development Planning & Backlog Management: Assist the Product Managers and Product Owners with planning and prioritising development work.
- Other Responsibilities
- Global Integration: Maintain strong working relationships with Caseware International Solution Leads and Product Managers/Owners, and with other Caseware distributors.
- Voice of the Customer: Regularly engage customers across all segments through client interviews and feedback channels to understand pain points and represent customer needs internally.
- Industry & Standards Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key developments in the accounting and audit industry.
- Strategic Alliance & Institute Management: Manage strong working relationships with local subject matter experts, standard setters and member bodies in the APAC region.
What you will bring:
- Product Leadership Experience: 10+ years' experience in product management or solutions roles, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Audit & Accounting Domain Depth: At least 5 years' experience working in or with the audit and accounting profession.
- APAC Market Understanding: A minimum of 3 years' experience working across APAC markets.
- Commercial & Strategic Judgement: Proven ability to build business cases and prioritise development activity.
- Influencing Across a Global Matrix: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Customer-Led Mindset: Genuine curiosity about customer problems.
- People Development: At least 3 years' direct people-management experience.
- Delivery Discipline: Familiarity with modern product frameworks and agile delivery practices.
