Secondary Teacher Aide - Part Time opportunity
Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.
The College is seeking applications from Christian professionals to fill a Secondary Teacher Aide 12 month contract. This position is available part‐time during Term Time, commencing in January 2027.
The Secondary Teacher Aide will contribute to the provision of quality education by supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities. In this role on any given day you will:
- Assist teachers and students with teaching and learning activities.
- Display respect and empathy for all students, and especially those with additional learning needs.
- Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families.
- Assist in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of specialist equipment, rooms or spaces (such as science labs, educational kitchens, sewing rooms, art rooms, etc.).
- Assist teaching staff with playground and bus supervision.
- Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships in the college community.
- Provide administrative support as required.
About you:
- Ability to inspire children with an enthusiasm for learning.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and use initiative.
- Previous experience and/or qualifications in teacher aiding will be viewed favourably.
- Communicate effectively and display a high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
- Hold a valid Blue Card or be able to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Current first aid and CPR certificate.
