Cardinia Paediatric Specilaists – Pakenham VIC
Cardinia Paediatric Specialists is seeking two personable and detail-oriented Medical Receptionists to join our dedicated team in Pakenham. We are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment that puts the needs of our young patients first, and you will play a vital role in supporting our paediatric specialists and local community.
Two part-time opportunities are available:
- Position 1 is a 6-month contract covering maternity leave 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Position 2 is an ongoing part-time role on Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to our paediatric specialists, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating with other healthcare providers
- Handling patient inquiries and correspondence in a warm, professional, and empathetic manner
- Taking payments, invoicing patients, and seamlessly processing Medicare rebates
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date electronic medical files and databases
- Performing general office duties, such as answering phones, filing, and managing practice supplies
About you
- Proven previous experience (at least 6 months) as a Medical Secretary or Receptionist within a healthcare setting
- Strong skills navigating medical office software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- A solid understanding of medical terminology, healthcare policies, and Australian privacy standards
- The ability to communicate warmly, patiently, and professionally with parents, children, and medical specialists
- A steadfast commitment to patient confidentiality and medical ethics
