An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Development Manager to join a leading masterplanned community developer.
This is a leadership role where you'll oversee a small team of Development Managers while playing a key part in the delivery of a large-scale, multi-stage community. The project is well established, with significant delivery already complete and several hundred lots still to be delivered over the coming years.
You'll work across all aspects of project delivery, supporting your team through complex technical challenges while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
Reporting into the Development leadership team, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Development Managers.
- Oversee the delivery of multiple stages of a large residential masterplanned community.
- Manage complex development and delivery issues, particularly around servicing, remediation, and contaminated land.
- Coordinate planning, approvals, procurement, and construction activities.
- Manage contractor performance and oversee the delivery of civil infrastructure.
- Drive the delivery of roads, utilities, landscaping, parks, and other public domain works.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support the successful release and sale of residential land.
About You
We're looking for an experienced development professional who combines strong technical capability with proven leadership skills.
You'll ideally bring:
- Extensive experience delivering residential land subdivision or masterplanned community project as either a SDM, or a Development Manager or Senior Project Manager ready to step up in to an SMD role.
- A background in civil engineering, civil infrastructure, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring development or project teams.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery, approvals, contractor management, and civil construction.
- Experience managing complex servicing, remediation, and contaminated land issues.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
