The Roles: We are recruiting an APS6 financial analyst role which is available via an initial 6 months labour hire contract (with an extra 12 months available via extension). You’ll be working in a multi-disciplinary team as the most senior finance person. You’ll provide financial analysis on the costs, risk and viability of a longstanding commercial project. Excel is the tool of choice for this project, and your role will involve technical analysis, as well as stakeholder engagement and the preparation of reports for internal execs and the Minister. The project is commercial in nature and would suit someone that has had experience of engaging with contracts between government and the private sector and the strict SLAs within these. There is the potential for this role to be delivered remotely (outside of the ACT).
Your Skills and Experience: You must be able to demonstrate a strong history and track record from within management accounting and financial analysis. A record of achievement in project-based roles with a diverse set of stakeholders (financial and non-financial) will be warmly received. Exposure across Federal Government at the APS6 or EL1 level in positions that can demonstrate your ability to analyse, review, model and implement is highly desirable. Candidates with consulting experience that have worked across a government client base are also highly desirable. You must be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline clearance to be eligible for this role.
