Capital Asset Services is looking to connect with experienced operations / planning professionals with strong Excel-based planning and data analysis capability, ideally from mining, bulk materials handling, or heavy industrial environments. This is a hands-on planning role, suited to someone who understands how plans interact with operations on the ground.
Key Responsibilities and Experience
- Using Excel as a primary planning tool (pivot tables, analysis, Gantt-style schedules)
- Turning raw operational data into practical short-term and medium-term plans
- Analyzing production, quality, and throughput metrics and explaining impacts to stakeholders
- Experience with bulk solids and liquids movement, including:
- Pumped systems, transfer lines, and flow constraints
- Dewatering, raw water, process water, or brine-type systems
- Understanding how flow rates, capacities, and downtime affect production outcomes
- Familiarity with interfaces between operations, maintenance, and contractors
- Adapting plans around shutdowns, weather, manning, equipment availability, and competing priorities
- Ability to discuss issues constructively with haulage, operations, port or export interfaces
- Experience with VBA / Excel macros or automated reporting tools is highly regarded.
