Camden Valley Meats is seeking an experienced Food Truck Manager to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in Camden, NSW 2570. This is a strategic management/chef position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our mobile food service, ensuring exceptional customer experiences whilst maintaining high standards of food quality, safety and hygiene. You will play a key role in driving the success of this revenue stream and representing the Camden Valley Meats brand as we expand our market presence through innovative food service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all daily operational aspects of the food truck, including stock management, cash handling and equipment maintenance
- Plan and execute efficient service schedules, route planning and venue coordination to maximise customer reach and sales
- Oversee food preparation, presentation and service standards in compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor inventory levels, manage supplier relationships and optimise stock ordering to minimise wastage and control costs
- Train, supervise and motivate food truck staff, ensuring consistent delivery of excellent customer service
- Maintain detailed records including sales figures, expenses, staff timesheets and compliance documentation
- Drive customer engagement and satisfaction through quality products, exceptional service and proactive marketing initiatives
- Ensure all health, safety and hygiene standards are consistently met and maintained
- Report on performance metrics and identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvement
What we're looking for
- 3+ years' experience in hospitality management, food service operations or mobile catering environments
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, controlling costs and driving profitability
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Outstanding customer service orientation and the ability to build positive customer relationships
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, inventory management software and basic financial reporting
- A genuine passion for food quality and the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
