About the role... At Calvary Christian College, music is highly valued as an important part of student life. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Casual Brass Tutor to support and inspire our student musicians commencing from Term 1, 2027.
Salary and Benefits... As a Casual Brass Tutor, you will receive a competitive above-Award hourly rate of $62.50 per hour, based on your qualifications and relevant experience. You will also receive:

What we are looking for?
In this role, it is essential that you hold a current positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and relevant experience. You will also have:
- Experience as a brass tutor and music educator.
- Strong musicianship, including music literacy and the ability to adapt or arrange music where required.
- Experience in leading and directing bands and ensembles.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and positively within a team environment.
- Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality.
- A passion for developing students' confidence, skills, and enjoyment of music.
- A commitment to supporting and expanding a thriving performing arts culture within the College.
- The ability to conduct ensembles for College performances and events.
- Collaboration with the Creative Arts Coordinator regarding performance planning.
- Proven ability to work in a cooperative, flexible, and professional manner with children, parents, and other team members.
- A satisfactory level of computer literacy with proven capacity in MS Office Suite and other software/programs in common use for education.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
