We're looking for a caring, reliable Domestic Cleaner to join our team supporting elderly clients in their homes. This isn't just cleaning — it's about helping older members of our community live comfortably, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. You'll bring a friendly, patient presence along with your cleaning skills, building trusted relationships with clients over time.
What You’ll Do
- Perform general household cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen cleaning
- Change and launder bed linens as needed
- Tidy and organize living spaces
- Take out rubbish and recycling
- Report any concerns about a client’s wellbeing, home safety, or changes in condition to your supervisor
- Communicate respectfully and patiently with elderly clients, some of whom may have mobility, hearing, or memory challenges
- Follow individual client preferences and care plans
- Maintain a safe, hygienic environment at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (not essential — training provided)
- A genuine warmth and patience when working with older people
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy — you may be working unsupervised in a client’s home
- Ability to pass a police/background check
- A valid Blue Card
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties, including light bending, lifting, and standing
