Cabrini is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history, and our perioperative services are growing with it. We are looking for an accomplished, energising perioperative nursing leader to join us in the newly created role of ADON - Perioperative Services, leading Scrub/Scout and the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). This is a rare chance to help shape the future of a large, highly regarded perioperative service at a time of major investment, redevelopment and clinical expansion.

Cabrini's expanded 30-theatre operating suite supports a broad range of surgical specialties, advanced technology and contemporary models of care, with growth aligned to the Cabrini Next Era redevelopment and strengthened cancer, cardiac and orthopaedic services.

Working in close partnership with the Nurse Director - Perioperative Services, you will provide visible, confident and contemporary leadership across Scrub/Scout and CSSD. You will guide service growth, strengthen workforce capability, support operational performance and champion safe, high-quality care for every patient, every time.

Why this role is exciting:

  • Influence the next chapter of a major and growing perioperative service.
  • Lead and develop skilled Scrub/Scout and CSSD teams across a complex theatre environment.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, service redesign and continuous improvement.
  • Drive quality, safety, efficiency and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Work alongside a supportive and experienced perioperative leadership team.
  • Engage regularly with Cabrini's senior and executive leadership teams.
  • Play a meaningful role in significant organisational growth and redevelopment.

Who we're looking for:

You are a contemporary nursing leader with deep perioperative experience, sound operational judgement and the ability to bring people with you through growth and change. You are visible, collaborative and steady under pressure, with a genuine commitment to developing people, strengthening systems and delivering excellent patient care.

Senior perioperative leadership opportunities of this scale do not come along often. If you are ready to scrub in for the next chapter of your leadership career, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact at Cabrini.

What we offer:

  • A private, non-profit hospital which offers $15,900 salary packaging tax free plus $2,650 meal & entertainment card benefits.
  • Our culture is inclusive; we work as a team and are constantly focusing on professional and career development.
  • We offer flexible working arrangements inclusive of a 4-day work week and flexible shift lengths where appropriate.
  • Additional Employee Leave Benefits.
  • Close to public transport with Myki discount on offer.
  • Working with the latest modern technology and established cardiologists.
