We are seeking a highly experienced Structural and Civil Engineer to join our office and take a leading role in shaping high quality outcomes for our clients.
The role offers a diverse mix of structural and civil engineering projects across residential, commercial and rural developments.
You'll have the opportunity to influence project direction, mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth and evolution of the team.
With autonomy to see projects through from concept to completion, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, practical solutions while helping drive growth within the company.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver structural and civil designs from concept through to construction and completion
- Prepare and review designs in line with Australian Standards and client requirements
- Provide senior technical input across multiple projects
- Liaise with clients, architects, builders and consultants throughout delivery
- Conduct site inspections including footings, slabs, retaining walls, framing, and steelwork
- Manage design and construction issues as they arise
- Mentor junior engineers and support drafting staff as required
- Maintain quality, WHS and design compliance across all projects
About you
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
- 20+ years' relevant consulting experience including sign off of projects under own RPEQ.
- Experience in residential and commercial structural engineering projects
- Experience in civil engineering including earthworks, drainage, stormwater and road design, with experience in Drains, PC Sewer and 12D
- Strong design, site and construction support experience
- Proficiency in structural design software including Tekla Structural Designer, Idea Statica, Design-in Hyne as well as documentation
- Auto CAD proficiency is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive approach to work and problem solving
- RPEQ and NSW registration
- Permanent resident status is required for this position
