Senior Finance Manager | Banking | Sydney
Our client is a major financial services group with a strong market position and a reputation for investing in its people. The finance function is a trusted partner to the business and plays a central role in shaping strategy and performance.
The Role
This is a senior finance leadership role where you will be the key finance partner to a major banking division and its executive leadership team. You will lead a capable team and provide the insight and challenge that drive sound commercial decisions across a substantial P&L.
- Partner with divisional executives on strategy, performance and investment decisions
- Lead planning, budgeting and forecasting across a significant P&L
- Deliver insightful performance reporting and commentary to senior executives
- Provide commercial challenge on pricing, returns, capital and cost
- Lead and develop a high performing finance team
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance, risk and the wider group
- Drive improvements in reporting quality, insight and decision support
The Candidate
You will be an accomplished finance leader with a strong record of business partnering at senior level. Banking experience is essential.
- CA or CPA qualified, with significant senior finance experience in banking
- Proven record of business partnering with executive stakeholders
- Deep understanding of banking economics, including returns and capital
- Strong leadership skills and a record of developing high performing teams
- Confident communicator with the credibility to influence and challenge
- Strategic thinker who remains hands-on and commercially pragmatic
