BVW Group (Breezeview Windows) is a well-established fabricator and installer of commercial aluminium glazing, servicing all aspects of the construction industry, from small renovations to large hi-rises in the South east corner for the last 25 years. We are seeking an estimator or sales rep to come join the team.
Qualifications & experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within aluminium window and door industry
- Strong understanding of building plans, acoustic reports and energy report
- Technical knowledge of building codes, and relevant Australian standards pertaining to windows, doors and facades.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn new processes and systems with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- LogiKal or V6 software knowledge is essential
Tasks & responsibilities
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Take off from architectural drawings
- Review of shop drawings and installation detail drawings (prepared by draftsmen) in relation to quoted drawings and project supervisors
- Work with suppliers, contractors and internal project supervisors to establish best offering
- Ensure projects won are completed within required specifications, regulations, and contract provisions
- Attend post tender meetings & submissions
- Following up on submitted tenders and quotations
- Timely and accurate pricing of variations and adjustments during projects
- Provide technical support to customers, fabrication team and project supervisors when required
The ideal candidate will need an in-depth knowledge of Estimating processes, along with a good mixture of diligence, technical knowledge of systems and building practices along with a positive personality with great communication skills.
