Account Manager | Apprenticeship Support Australia | Office Based

Apprenticeship Support Australia delivers Australian Government contracted apprenticeship services, supporting employers, apprentices and trainees across Australia. We’re looking for a confident, motivated Account Manager to join our Brisbane team

This is a sales-focused role where you'll receive a regular pipeline of warm, hot and cold leads. Your job is to pick up the phone, build rapport, understand the employer's needs and convert opportunities into apprenticeship and traineeship business.

Most client engagement is via phone and Microsoft Teams, with some face-to-face meetings and local travel when required.

What you'll be doing

  • Work through a supplied pipeline of sales leads
  • Proactively call employers and convert opportunities into new business
  • Promote apprenticeship and traineeship solutions
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Manage your sales pipeline, follow-ups and client activity
  • Understand employers' workforce needs and provide the right support
  • Coordinate apprenticeship sign-ups and monitoring visits
  • Maintain accurate client and apprentice information
  • Build relationships with employers, RTOs and industry stakeholders

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys sales, talking to customers and winning business.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience in sales, business development or account management
  • Confidence making outbound calls and working through leads
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach
  • Good organisation and follow-up skills
  • Confidence using CRM/database systems
  • Experience in apprenticeships, VET, recruitment or employment services is an advantage, but isn't essential.

What's on offer?

  • Sales leads supplied so you can focus on converting opportunities
  • Modern Queen Street, Brisbane CBD office
  • Predominantly phone and Teams-based sales
  • Limited face-to-face and local travel
  • Work that directly supports employers, apprentices and trainees
  • Opportunities throughout the year for travel to NSW to meet with the existing account management team
  • KM reimbursement for approved work-related travel

What you'll need

You’ll need a current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle for occasional business travel.

The successful candidate will also need to meet relevant background screening requirements, including a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Blue Card requirements.
