About the role:

Love making great coffee and creating an experience that keeps people coming back? Join the Bunnings Café team at our Rivervale Support Office, where you'll bring your barista experience to a welcoming café serving our team members and visitors throughout the working day. This is a great opportunity for an experienced barista who enjoys the energy of café service but is looking for the consistency of weekday work. You'll be part of a close-knit team where quality, friendly service and pitching in for each other matter.

With pathways that are yours to build, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your café skills, build relationships across our Support Office and make a difference to someone's day, one great coffee at a time. This is a casual opportunity working Monday to Friday, with roster flexibility across operating hours of 6am to 3.30pm.

What's involved:

  • Prepare consistently high-quality coffees, teas and other beverages in a café environment.
  • Create a warm and welcoming experience for every customer.
  • Serve a range of fresh hot and cold food.
  • Keep the café clean, organised and ready for service throughout the day.
  • Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
  • Work closely with your café teammates to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
  • Share your café experience while continuing to learn from the people around you.

It's a hands-on role where teamwork really counts. You'll be supported to keep developing your skills, inspiring you to give it a red hot go and contribute ideas that make the café even better.

About you:

You're an experienced barista who knows that great café service is about more than making a good coffee. You enjoy getting to know your customers, staying calm when the orders stack up and working alongside your team to get the job done. You take pride in quality and consistency while bringing a positive, practical approach to each shift. You're comfortable jumping between coffee preparation, food service and keeping the café organised, and you're happy to lend a hand wherever it's needed.

What you'll need:

  • Previous barista experience in a café or hospitality.
  • Confidence preparing a range of espresso-based coffees to a consistently high standard.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively during busy service periods.
  • An understanding of food handling, hygiene and café cleanliness.
  • Confidence using, or the ability to quickly learn, POS systems.
  • Availability to work across weekday shifts between 6am and 3.30pm.
  • A reliable, team-focused approach and willingness to get stuck in.
