Your Company is a growing developer-builder formed by highly regarded construction and development professionals with strong reputations across the South East Queensland apartment market. Operating under an integrated developer-builder model, project teams benefit from greater certainty, faster decision-making and a genuine long-term pipeline of work. The business places genuine importance on quality, safety, teamwork and industry-leading working conditions.

With a substantial pipeline of Gold Coast developments secured, they are now looking for an Intermediate Contracts Administrator to join their delivery team.

You will join an experienced and well-structured project team on a significant Gold Coast apartment development, currently programmed for completion in the second half of 2027. The role will suit a Contracts Administrator who has developed a solid foundation within commercial construction and is ready to take responsibility for their own trade packages while continuing to learn from experienced senior team members. Importantly, this is not simply a role for the duration of one project. The business has two further circa. $90m apartment developments scheduled to commence in Broadbeach during 2027, with their current project team expected to transfer across to one of these upcoming projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Preparing subcontractor scopes and trade packages
  • Assisting with tendering, procurement and subcontractor negotiations
  • Letting and administering subcontract agreements
  • Managing progress claims, variations and payment schedules
  • Maintaining cost reports, forecasts and project documentation
  • Supporting the management of contractual correspondence
  • Monitoring procurement schedules and commercial risks
  • Working collaboratively with the site team, consultants and subcontractors
  • Assisting with project close-out, defects and final accounts

Your Experience

  • Approximately three to five years of Contracts Administration experience
  • Experience working for a commercial builder or developer-builder
  • Exposure to apartment, multi-residential or other large-scale building projects
  • The ability to independently manage subcontractor packages
  • A relevant qualification in construction management, quantity surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong communication, organisation and commercial skills
  • A practical and collaborative approach to working within a project team

Previous experience on apartment developments will be highly regarded. However, capable Contracts Administrators from other complex commercial building environments are also encouraged to apply.

Your Career

This is an opportunity to join an excellent project team with genuine continuity of work across the Gold Coast. You will gain experience on a major $100m+ apartment development while being supported by experienced construction professionals who can help advance your commercial capability. With two further Broadbeach projects scheduled to commence in 2027, the business can offer a clear pathway beyond the current project without requiring relocation away from the Gold Coast.
