Brothers Sports Club Bundaberg – Kensington QLD

Full Time or Part-time (minimum 30 hours/week)

Great coffee. A well-run shift. A team that looks to you for direction. If you’re an experienced café supervisor or hospitality team leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting your team and keeping service running smoothly, we’d like to hear from you. We are also open to applicants who would love to take the next step in their career into a supervisory role.

We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Café Supervisor who combines strong barista skills with the confidence to lead a team through busy service periods. This role involves evening and weekend shifts so availability across these times are essential, alongside flexibility to work public holidays as needed.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside the team, balancing customer service, coffee and food preparation with shift supervision. You’ll help set the pace, keep everyone working together and maintain consistent standards, from the quality of each coffee to the way customers are welcomed and served.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading service: Coordinate workflow, allocate duties and help the team stay organised during busy periods.
  • Working alongside your team: Prepare and serve coffee, food and beverages while providing friendly, efficient customer service.
  • Maintaining quality: Monitor product presentation, coffee quality and service standards.
  • Supporting your people: Train and coach team members, provide clear direction and lead by example.
  • Looking after customers: Respond professionally to enquiries and resolve concerns appropriately.
  • Keeping operations on track: Operate the POS system, reconcile tills and floats, and assist with stock control, ordering and waste reduction.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean café: Uphold food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
  • Managing shift routines: Assist with opening and closing procedures and communicate effectively with management and other departments.

The experience you’ll bring

We’re particularly interested in applicants who have café/food and beverage experience, working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll bring:

  • Previous café, hospitality or food and beverage experience, including supervising a team or leading shifts.
  • Strong barista skills and the ability to produce consistent coffee while managing competing demands.
  • Confidence allocating tasks, adjusting priorities and keeping service moving.
  • A friendly, professional approach to customers and the ability to handle concerns calmly.
  • Experience using POS systems, handling cash and reconciling tills.
  • Good organisation, sound judgement and a practical approach to solving problems.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
  • Reliability and availability for a rotating roster, predominantly across evenings and weekends, including public holidays as required.
  • Current RSA, food safety training and relevant hospitality qualifications will be highly regarded.

Sound like your kind of role? If you're looking for your next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
