Make a difference in specialised, patient-centred healthcare

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about providing compassionate, inclusive and judgement-free care? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative clinical environment where no two days are the same?

Brightwell Health is seeking an experienced Casual Registered Nurse to join our supportive and growing multidisciplinary team.

We are a specialist practice providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare, including gynaecology, urogynaecology, obstetrics, pelvic health and general practice. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a welcoming environment where patients feel safe, respected and supported.

Gynaecology experience is highly desirable, particularly for nurses with experience assisting with specialist procedures and providing care in an outpatient or procedural setting.

About the role

This is a varied clinical nursing role suited to someone who enjoys combining hands-on patient care with procedural assistance and working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compassionate, patient-centred nursing care across a range of specialist services.
  • Preparing for and assisting with procedures, including IUD and Implanon insertions, iron infusions, urodynamics and minor surgical procedures.
  • Supporting sexual and reproductive health services and providing PTNS treatments.
  • Undertaking clinical assessments, including observations, urinalysis and pregnancy testing.
  • Administering medications, performing clinical tests within your scope of practice and communicating results under clinician supervision.
  • Providing chaperone support during medical and gynaecological examinations.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with infection prevention, sterilisation and clinical safety requirements.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of clinical services, including equipment checks, consumable management and clinical quality improvement.
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative and supportive team culture.

About you

You are a confident and compassionate nurse who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and building positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and culturally safe care, including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Highly regarded experience includes:

  • Gynaecology, urogynaecology or specialist outpatient nursing.
  • Sexual and reproductive health.
  • General practice or procedural nursing.
  • IUD and Implanon procedures, or urodynamics.
  • Experience with Best Practice and Xestro clinical software.
