BIG Scotland is recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper on behalf of Revolutions, a car and motorcycle dealership in Perth working with brands including Morgan, KTM, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Royal Enfield, Indian and Norton.
This is a full-time, permanent role based at the dealership in Perth, PH1 3DZ.
The basic salary is £35,000 to £40,000 a year, depending on experience, plus a bonus of 10% of verified net cost savings, with no ceiling. Revolutions also plans to introduce a company-wide bonus in 2027, with details to be confirmed.
Reporting to the business owners, you’ll look after the dealership’s day-to-day finances. You’ll maintain the ledgers in Sage, check transactions from the Deep Blue dealership management system and reconcile the accounts through to trial balance. You’ll run UK payroll, including PAYE and workplace pensions, prepare VAT returns and maintain vehicle margin-scheme records.
You’ll prepare monthly management accounts and update a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast so the owners can see what is due in, what needs paying and where cash is tied up. You’ll report on stock held for more than 90 days and more than a year, show how much cash its sale could release, reconcile warranty payments against claims submitted and identify recurring costs the business can reduce.

You’ll need hands‑on experience of independently maintaining bookkeeping records, reconciling accounts through to trial balance and preparing UK VAT returns. You should be comfortable investigating discrepancies, meeting reporting deadlines and explaining financial figures to business owners. You must be able to work full‑time on site in Perth.Experience with Sage, UK payroll and cash flow forecasting would be valuable. Familiarity with Deep Blue or motor dealership accounting would also be helpful.
