Key responsibilities
- Lead the service through opening and its first year
- Child safe recruitment, induction and ongoing supervision of the educator team
- Embed child safe practice in everyday interactions, supervision and decision-making
- Ensure all staff understand mandatory reporting obligations and how to act on them
- Compliance with the National Law, National Regulations, the NQS and the NSW child safety reforms
- Build strong, transparent relationships with families and the community
About you
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Bachelor/ECT highly regarded)
- Prior Director or 2IC experience in long day care
- Cleared paid Working With Children Check
- Current first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma training
- Approved NSW child protection training and mandatory national child safety training
- Demonstrated understanding of the Child Safe Standards and mandatory reporting
