Senior Software Engineers / Technical Leads to support complex software development and digital transformation initiatives within a major Federal Government department.
The successful candidates will provide technical leadership across software design, development, systems integration, testing, deployment and production support , while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and delivery of complex software applications and technical solutions.
- Develop technical designs, solution architectures and software development strategies.
- Lead software development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities.
- Review technical requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Oversee software releases, deployment and production support.
- Ensure adherence to software development methodologies, security standards and quality practices.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across development and production environments.
- Lead systems integration, configuration management and testing activities.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Mentor developers and support team capability development.
- Drive continuous improvement across software engineering practices.
- Strong experience as a
Senior Software Engineer, Senior Developer or Technical Lead .
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, SDLC methodologies and technical design.
- Experience with systems integration, release management, deployment and production support.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, review code and guide development teams.
- Experience implementing software quality, security and testing practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies would be highly regarded:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP UI5 / Fiori
- ABAP
- Angular
- Node. js
- Modern application development and integration technologies
- CI/CD, Dev Ops and automated testing
- Government or large enterprise software delivery environments
