Brewtech Pty Ltd was founded in 2015. We customise, service and repair La Marzocco espresso machines and associated specialty coffee equipment, both on site at cafés, restaurants and homes, and in our workshops. We have branches in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. We are seeking an experienced Coffee Machine Technician to join our Sydney service team.
About the Role
This is a mobile, client-facing technical role based in our Sydney branch. You will install, service, diagnose and repair commercial espresso machines, grinders and brewing equipment at client sites throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. Occasional interstate assignments may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and calibrate La Marzocco espresso machines, grinders and associated brewing equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical faults, including boilers, pumps, solenoid valves, heating elements, flow meters and control boards
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer specifications and Brewtech service schedules
- Respond to customer breakdown callouts and enquiries, including rotational after-hours on-call support
- Test equipment for safe operation and compliance with electrical and water safety standards
- Complete accurate job sheets, service reports and maintenance records
- Manage van stock, spare parts inventory and tools
- Advise and train customers and café staff on correct machine operation, cleaning and care
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum two years of paid experience servicing and repairing commercial espresso machines or comparable electromechanical equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic and hydraulic systems and the ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Experience with La Marzocco or other commercial espresso machine brands is highly desirable
- Restricted Electrical Licence (or willingness to obtain one; Brewtech will provide support)
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently on the road and as part of a team
- Barista experience or knowledge of specialty coffee is highly regarded
