Start your career in sales with a global legal technology leaderAre you a recent graduate who loves talking to people, enjoys a challenge and wants to build a career in sales?
Perhaps you've worked in retail, hospitality, customer service or fundraising and discovered that you're naturally good at connecting with people. Or you may simply be competitive, commercially minded and excited by the idea of developing professional sales skills.
This could be your opportunity to turn that potential into a career.
About the role
We're looking for an ambitious Graduate Sales Associate to join LexisNexis and help grow our customer base across small law firms.
This is an entry-level, phone-based sales role where you'll spend much of your day speaking with prospective customers, understanding their needs and introducing them to LexisNexis legal technology solutions.
You'll learn how to prospect, open conversations, handle objections, identify sales opportunities and build relationships with potential customers.
You don't need previous corporate sales experience. What matters most is that you genuinely want a career in sales, are confident speaking with people and are motivated to learn.
You'll work alongside experienced sales professionals and build the skills and commercial experience that can set you up for future opportunities in business development and sales.
What you'll be doing
- Making outbound calls to small law firms and introducing LexisNexis solutions
- Speaking with prospective customers to understand their business needs
- Generating new sales opportunities through phone, email and targeted outreach
- Following up inbound leads and marketing campaigns
- Qualifying prospective customers and identifying genuine opportunities
- Booking product demonstrations and appointments
- Working with Business Development Managers to progress opportunities
- Building your knowledge of legal technology, AI and professional sales
- Using CRM and digital tools to manage your activity and pipeline
- Using AI tools to help improve prospecting, productivity and customer engagement
What we're looking for
You don't need years of experience. We're looking for potential, attitude and a genuine interest in sales.
- Is a recent graduate or early in your career
- Is genuinely interested in building a career in sales
- Enjoys speaking with people and is comfortable picking up the phone
- Has confidence, energy and strong communication skills
- Is motivated by goals, targets and achieving results
- Can stay positive when you hear "no" and keep going
- Is curious, coachable and keen to develop
- Is interested in technology and AI
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, results-focused environment
Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, fundraising, telesales or another customer-facing environment would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
A legal background isn't required either. An interest in the legal sector or technology is a bonus.
Why start your sales career with LexisNexis?
This isn't just about getting your first corporate job. It's an opportunity to learn how to sell in a professional B2B environment while working with established legal technology solutions.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Build practical B2B sales skills from the beginning of your career
- Learn from experienced sales professionals
- Develop confidence in prospecting, negotiation and customer conversations

- Build a foundation for future business development and sales opportunities
