Lead Sales Growth for an Industry Leader

Due to continued growth and future succession planning, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused VIC Sales Manager to lead sales activities across Victoria and drive sustainable business growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the VIC Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the Victorian sales strategy, strengthening key customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities across our heavy commercial vehicle, trailer manufacturing, fleet, workshop and OE customer base.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic business development with customer engagement and market growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales growth in our Heavy Commercial Vehicle sector to achieve targets and improve profitability;
- Manage and grow relationships with key customers, OEMs, fleet operators and industry partners;
- Management of the VIC Sales team with designated key account management, in particular large National fleets;
- Oversee the national warranty process and technical service support of the products distributed;
- Identify and secure new business opportunities throughout Victoria;
- Lead customer negotiations and major account activities;
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities;
- Work closely with internal sales, operations, product support and supply chain teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes;
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports and budgets;
- Represent BPW Transpec at customer events, trade exhibitions and industry functions;
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance and company values.
About You
- Experience within the heavy commercial vehicle and trailer industry – a MUST have;
- Demonstrated success in a territory, state or sales management position;
- Strong business development and relationship management skills;
- Proven ability to achieve sales growth and commercial outcomes;
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
- A customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach;
- Strong commercial and financial acumen;
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a broader team.
What we are looking for in you
- Engineering or Marketing Degree with extensive Sales experience within the heavy commercial vehicle industry;
- Proven experience in the leadership and management of people to deliver performance outcomes;
- Strong sales and customer relationship management experience;
- Strong understanding of financial management for budgeting & forecasting purposes;
- A team player, with a ‘hands on’ attitude and the ability to work autonomously;
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and Excel.
