This is a newly created Analyst role joining the Sydney‐based Corporate Development team, this role is ideal for a technically strong finance professional seeking group‐level exposure across both the BORG Group, supporting high‐quality analysis that informs strategic decision‐making across Mergers & Acquisitions and Investments. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders in a fast‐moving, entrepreneurial environment where insight, collaboration and commercial thinking are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment evaluation and decision making
- Support end-to-end deal execution including managing data rooms, coordinating external advisors (legal, financial, tax) and tracking due diligence workstreams
- Conduct commercial and strategic analysis of target companies and investments, including market analysis, competitive position and key risks
- Prepare high quality investment papers, presentations and briefing materials
- Assist in managing multiple concurrent transactions, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of a high standard.
About You
- 3+ years' experience in a professional services or high‐growth environment such as M&A or transaction services, consulting, investments or banking.
- Strong foundation in finance and accounting, with the ability to apply concepts in a commercial context.
- Demonstrated capability in financial modelling, valuation and analytical problem‐solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A team‐first mindset with positive energy, comfortable working in a fast‐paced, evolving environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
- Exposure to Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) will be highly regarded but is not essential.
