As Restaurant Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day front-of-house operation at the Boatshed Restaurant, working closely with owners, kitchen and wider management team. Set on the edge of beautiful Lake Wendouree, the Boatshed is a busy, established restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside a strong calendar of weddings, functions, corporate events and celebrations. This is a hands-on management role where you will be actively involved on the floor, leading from the front and being a welcoming face of the venue.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a front-of-house team of 20+ staff
- Being actively involved on the floor and leading by example
- Delivering consistently high standards of customer service
- Managing busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services
- Overseeing functions and events
- Staff rostering, training, development and performance
- Maintaining strong communication between front and back of house
- Ensuring the venue is presented and operating to a high standard
- Building a positive, professional and supportive team culture
- Identifying opportunities to continually improve the guest experience and the operation of the restaurant
