BMD is Australia’s leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business, with foundations built on the family values that underpin our unique, collaborative approach. Driven by a purpose of powering futures and creating enduring legacies through a commitment to collaboration, BMD is delivering infrastructure solutions that connect and transform communities. With a proud history beginning in 1979, BMD now employs 2,400 people throughout Australia, the Philippines and United Kingdom.
About the Role
BMD, in joint venture with Gamuda Engineering Australia, is delivering the $624 million Elizabeth Drive Upgrade and Mamre Road Upgrade Stage 2 for Transport for NSW. Located near Western Sydney International Airport, the project includes upgrades across 4.5 km of Elizabeth Drive and 3 km of Mamre Road, incorporating civil, structural and utility works that will help improve connectivity and support Western Sydney's continued growth. We're looking for an HR Graduate to join the project and build their career in a hands‑on environment. Rather than experiencing HR from one narrow perspective, you'll get exposure across the employee lifecycle while working directly with a major project team.
You’ll support:
- recruitment and talent sourcing
- onboarding and pre‑employment activities
- workforce administration and employee records
- probation and employee movements
- training and competency coordination
- employee engagement and development initiatives
- offboarding and workforce transitions
- generalist HR activities and project support
You'll work with experienced HR professionals, managers and project teams, developing an understanding of both Human Resources and the commercial realities of delivering major infrastructure.
About You
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or be a recent graduate ready to commence your HR career. Open to those graduating December 2026.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage professionally with employees, managers and other stakeholders
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced project environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work
- Confidence using the Microsoft Office suite
- A professional approach and the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities and learn
- The ability to build positive working relationships and contribute as part of a collaborative project team
Diversity and inclusion
We recognise that we are strengthened by diversity, and we embrace differences as an equal opportunity employer providing a flexible and inclusive workplace. So, join our team, be yourself and help us power futures and create legacies. We’re a purpose and values‑led business guided by our values of family, empowered, collaborative and driven.
