About the Role
BMD is seeking Site Engineers to join our growing project teams across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of major civil infrastructure projects through the provision of onsite engineering and technical expertise. You will play a hands‑on role in coordinating construction activities, managing subcontractors, monitoring quality outcomes, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
Working on projects ranging from locally based large-scale infrastructure works in South East Queensland to large-scale regional and remote developments, this role offers excellent exposure to complex civil construction environments and the opportunity to further develop your engineering capability within a supportive, values‑led organisation.
We offer both local Brisbane‑based opportunities on a 5/2 roster (with occasional Saturdays as required) and FIFO opportunities across Queensland and the Northern Territory on a 15/6 roster, providing flexibility to suit a range of lifestyles and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite engineering support to construction teams
- Assist with day‑to‑day coordination of subcontractors and site activities
- Set out works and verify construction against design and specifications
- Support quality assurance, inspections and documentation processes
- Assist with short‑term planning, progress tracking and reporting
- Promote strong safety, environmental and quality outcomes on site
- Work closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum two years working onsite on civil infrastructure projects
- Exposure to earthworks, structures, roads or related scopes preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
- Willingness to work FIFO or DIDO rosters across Queensland
