The Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Shift Electrician in our Plate Processing team based in Port Kembla. You will join a cross-functional team that ensures equipment operates and is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for quality and reliability. In this critical role, you will be able to use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes, whilst ensuring your safety and that of your colleagues is a priority.
This is a shift position working on a 12-hour 24 x 5 rotating roster, consisting of rotating day and night shifts, Monday through to Sunday. This opportunity is open to both experienced Electricians and 4th year completing apprentices who have experience within a continuous manufacturing environment.
What will you do?
- Follow the safe system of work and develop isolation instructions and job safety analysis for the required work.
- Fault-find on electrical equipment including PLCs, drives and instrumentation systems.
- Perform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairs.
- Perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findings.

You are driven by self-development, committed to our success, and have technical experience within an industrial, manufacturing environment. You will have:
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Current NSW Electrical License.
- Experience working with automated equipment, drives, instrumentation, gauges & PLCs.
- Experience in fault finding and problem solving.
- Initiative in carrying out equipment repairs.
