Our client, one of Australia's major banks, is growing an internal audit team that puts data at the centre of how assurance is delivered, and they're looking for an Analytics Manager who is as comfortable building a workflow in Alteryx as they are walking a senior stakeholder through a finding.

You'll join a well-regarded internal audit function covering the bank\'s consumer and business portfolios, with a steady pipeline of high-profile reviews that carry real visibility across the organisation.

The core of the role is product audit: making sure the bank\'s products and fees are priced the way they should be, that customers are charged correctly, and that pricing practices meet compliance obligations and RBA standards.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Delivering risk-based internal audits from planning and scoping throughto issue identification and reporting, across a varied mix of high-profile projects.
  • Leading product and pricing reviews, testing whether fees, rates and product features are set, applied and disclosed correctly and in line with regulatory requirements, including RBA standards.
  • Designing and running analytics-led testing over full data populations to assess how well controls actually work, and to surface trends, outliers and root causes t
  • Turning audit and control objectives into practical analysis using Alteryx and SQL, with scope to work in tools such as SAS, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Partnering with business teams to design and embed data-driven solutions, not just report problems, so that findings lead to lasting improvements in how risk is managed.
  • Building strong working relationships with risk specialists, product owners, audit colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • What you\'ll bring
  • Around five years\' experience in internal audit, external audit or assurance, gained either in a consulting firm or within financial services.
  • Strong audit and assurance fundamentals: you understand processes, risks and controls and know how to apply sound judgement to them.
  • Hands-on analytics capability. Alteryx combined with SQL is preferred, though there is flexibility for the right candidate with strong skills in comparable tools.
  • The ability to take an audit question and design an analytical approach that answers it, then explain the results clearly to a non-technical audience.
  • Confidence engaging with the business, and a collaborative, solutions-focused way of working
  • Why consider this role

Interviews will begin as soon as suitable candidates are identified.
